Mel Edwards is a schoolteacher and poet. She had resigned her teaching position for the next school year and needed a professional looking web site to promote her workshops and presentations.
After some correspondence with Mel I came up with a design that was somewhat whimsical, yet elegant and professional looking.
I created the spirals in Illustrator, imported them to Photoshop where I created the page layouts with photos of Mel she had sent me. Then I sliced the design up into background images and tiles and put it all together with CSS in Dreamweaver.
